The Town's Newmarket Energy Efficiency Retrofit initiative plans to deliver home retrofits through local contractors, with the option to finance them through local improvement charges on the property. We'll tell you if it opens.

Electricity in most of Newmarket is distributed by Newmarket-Tay Power Distribution; gas by Enbridge Gas. Save on Energy programs apply across Ontario regardless of utility.
Province-wide rebates
Home Renovation Savings rebates are open to Newmarket homeowners now, and the National Heat Pump Rebate opens in early 2027 for heat pumps installed from November 1, 2026.
